Looking for a Toronto wedding officiant who creates soulful, personalized ceremonies? I’m Rev. Zahra Bakhsh, a Metaphysical Minister, writer, and storyteller specializing in non-traditional, spiritual, and heartfelt wedding ceremonies across the GTA.
Born and raised in Toronto’s Junction neighborhood and rooted in my Punjabi heritage, I bring a deep love for culture, connection, and creativity into every ceremony I perform. Whether you're planning an intimate elopement, a queer celebration, or a multicultural fusion wedding, my goal is to honor your story with presence, poetry, and intention.

As a preferred wedding officiant at venues like Junto Studio and The Henley Room, and through referrals from professional photographers, I’ve had the privilege of working with diverse couples all across Ontario. 

My background in the arts—singing, dance, writing, and over 10 years as a professional photographer—informs my intuitive and deeply human approach to ceremony.

I work with a carefully crafted ceremony template—refined each year to reflect evolving language, inclusivity, and beauty—I don’t believe in cookie-cutter experiences. My couples choose the vows, readings, and rituals that speak to them from a collection of meaningful options I provide, ensuring every ceremony still feels personal and intentional.

These are immersive, intimate, and completely custom. Whether you're exchanging vows at city hall, gathering for a sweet and simple moment, or celebrating with a story-driven ritual that reflects your unique path—I’m here to offer thoughtful, inclusive guidance every step of the way.
When I’m not officiating, you’ll find me collaging, painting in watercolor, collecting vintage buttons, or making small-batch ginger syrup and hot chocolate mix.
