As an officiant, I am here to hold space for love in its most profound and personal form. Whether your wedding is deeply spiritual, wildly unconventional, or a simple heartfelt exchange, my purpose is to guide you through it with warmth, authenticity, and reverence.
Your love story is unique—your ceremony should be, too.
As for me? I'm born and raised in Toronto’s Junction neighborhood, I carry with me the richness of my Punjabi heritage and the creative spirit that has shaped my journey.
From singing in choirs and dancing in talent shows to playing the violin and cello, my life has always been infused with rhythm, artistry, and self-expression. Writing has been my constant companion since childhood, filling journals with poetry about love, food, and even technology.
For over a decade, I worked as a professional photographer, capturing fleeting moments of connection, light, and emotion.
Now, as a Metaphysical Minister and Marriage officiant, I bring that same artistic and intuitive sensibility to the ceremonies I craft. To me, officiating is an act of deep presence, harmony, and storytelling. I believe that a ceremony should be a reflection of the couple’s essence, a sacred moment that honors both their journey and the energy they are creating together.
Beyond my work, I find joy in collaging, collecting vintage buttons, painting with watercolor, and making handcrafted earrings. My love for creativity extends to the kitchen, where I turn whole foods into nourishing creations, from homemade ginger syrup to decadent hot chocolate mix.
In warmth,
Rev. Zahra Bakhsh
