Real Love Stories

It was their Summer love, 2019.

Yulia was ambitious to find love, and on her search she matched Karan - first impressions - he was an accomplished, super handsome, seemed too good to be true.

Karan’s - first impressions of Yulia -  her gorgeous smile, and he was taken by how happy she looked. 

After 2 weeks of back and forth, Karan asked Yulia out to join him for Sunday Brunch at Le Select. As he was awaiting the happiest woman in the world - there she was, crossing the street ad he was struck by how gorgeous she was, walking towards the patio with her sunnies on- This was Karan’s “oooohh shit moment’.

Yulia however was more at ease, and as the two started talking, and the conversation starting flowing, Karan could not believe how beautiful she was in person. 

Although they only planned for a short brunch date, Yulia thought to extend the date to a midday beverage and an opportunity to keep talking. 

They talked each other’s ears off and Karan was falling for Yulia, so much so,  he thought a kiss would be a good next phase on the date, however Yulia declined this exciting moment…. Leaving Karan a bit perplexed…. No kiss? They were doing so well! 

As time passed, and Karan’s dreams of a kiss ended, he was approaching the end of their date as he had to head to the Bay to pick up a house warming gift for Arie, his Sister - As he was parting ways, Yulia decided to join him at the bay…..which now perplexed him even more…. Great date, falling for date, no kiss and now she was joining him to go shopping for his sister?  It’s a great thing Yulia tagged along, for it was her that ended up picking out a really nice espresso cups for Arie.

Even though Karan was confused by Yulia, as they actually parted from their first date- Karan was going to walk to his condo while Yulia was going to head to the station, but the both of them ended up extending their date for the 3rd time and Karan walked her to Queens Park, where the two finally parted - and no, no kiss….. Womp womp.

Yulia was ready for Date 2 while Karan thought there is no way in hell she is continuing…..but, regardless of his confusion - he reached out and let Yulia know that he had a great time and Yulia  agreed.

Date 2 was on the horizon. Karan planned a nice dinner date for them, first stop was really great Sushi, then another spot for cocktails and there was NO WAY Karan was going to try to kiss her tonight the rejection from the first date was enough….. After they were closing up the night, they found themselves at Christie Pitts park, Yulia was waiting for her Uber, When all of a sudden, Smooooooooooch  - she planted one on Karan. 

This wasn’t just any kiss, Karan described this kiss like this…. “It was like she had missed me for a long time”, this kiss also relieved him of his anxiety from the last attempt.

Date 3 turned into 4 then into 6 then in February of 2020 Yulia and Karan moved in together.

Fast forward to July 2021, the two were at Yulia’s Cottage, a very special place. 

As she was enjoying the beautiful outdoors, Karan was taking a few photos of her….as he was taking photos, he pulled out a ring box, she did not notice at first, but when he opened the box, she heard the click and Karan was able to capture Yulia’s immediate reaction to his proposal of marriage.

The rhythm of Yulia and Karan is peaceful perfection. 

Their clocks have attuned to one another, bringing them to the perfect choice to marry one another, today.
